No major changes for series 3. 8 new teams and 2 more returning teams for a total of 10 teams vying for the scrapheap trophy.
Probably the most noticeable change is Robert's clothes. He's now wearing a grey tuxedo. An odd choice in clothing, to say the least. Cathy is still there (with shorter hair) and so is Colonel Dick and Bowser. Also of note, the first american team (the NERDS) competes on the british series.
Minor set changes include a new seating area for Robert and Cathy (the hood of a truck) and storage sheds that are built into the teams build areas.
At the end of this series, the winning team will
face the previous series winner in one more contest for the "inter-series
trophy".
